About Us

About Us: The authors of this website, Kari & Eric Kearns, have been involved in the domain market as a hobby for over a decade.  Kari's domain portfolio is about 25% new gTLDs, or about 125 domain names.  We specialize in short, exact keyword domains in the new gTLD arena.  Eric, Kari's husband, is a firm believer in the growth of this market and believes that there are many names available from a few hundred to a few dollars each that will see 10x-1000x gains in value over the next decade.  We both believe that there are still hand reg gems available that we'll all wish we had in a few years...uncovering those gems is key (hint: see our "How to Find the new gTLD Diamonds in the Rough" page).

Investment/Advice Disclaimer: Please note we are sharing free advice that may or may not turn out to be insightful or valuable.  There are no guarantees in any financial or investment market, and the domain name market is much more volatile than most (think Bitcoin or Ethereum without the heart wrenching market crashes every eight months).  This is a hobby for us, and while we are domain name veterans, the information shared here is opinion and please take it as such.

New Domainers and Hand Registering Domain Names: For any new domainers reading: PLEASE do your research.  Most new domain name buyers waste a lot of money registering names with NO RESALE VALUE.  We've all done it; it's part of the deal.  You'll put together a list of names, and some (or all) turn out to be garbage.  I've created a page to help you that includes the best tools you can find online to uncover the best names still out there.  I've also listed some names I think are worth grabbing that you can go grab right now (not for long, though....the short keyword names don't tend to stay available for long).  And, I created a page that walks you through the process we've used to build the portfolio we have now (you can check out our new gTLD portfolio as well). That said, if you really feel the need to pull the trigger on some hand registered domains and you're about to jump on Godaddy's bulk domain search tool, take my advice: grab your list of names, pick the top 10% or so that you can't live without, and start with those.  Even better, use the resources we've provided on this site to see what the statistics say about your potential purchases (appraisal value, exact search content, related PPC value, etc.).  Lastly, if you are a new domainer and have questions that you think we can help with, please post a comment and we'll respond.
